Where in the world is Gwannel Sandiego?
Since 2006, Gwan has been roaming around Europe, and is currently based in the Loire Valley city of Tours. Bumps on the road include disastrous jobs and lack thereof, thieving flatmates & a lot of wine. Where to next?

  • Symphony in gold 2 weeks ago I have, like, A Thing for being in popular tourist destinations alone or nearly so. Maybe everyone else shares this, but judging by the hordes of cruise ship tourists traipsing about after guides holding up umbrellas I saw in Sicily, the force is not so strong in everyone. If anyone wants to get me...
  • Creepuccino 3 weeks ago My first full day in Palermo was a Sunday, which kind of hampered my planning for two reasons: one, because many of the sites I wanted to see on my trip, such as churches, were open only limited hours, and two, because there was an F1 race on in the middle of the afternoon which I wanted to see,...
  • Flying solo in Sicily 3 weeks ago Due to work stuff, I had to spend all summer there, chained to my desk. I know! Such hardship and injustice has never been exceeded. Summer was slow to get going here in Brussels, but it has been hot and sunny for quite some time now (thankfully no longer as hot as it was).So in September, when the...

Thanks to her wry sense of humor and irreverent attitude, Gwan's blog is always a pleasure to read. She writes about Tours and her life in such a refreshingly unique way that I almost always have a smile on my face by the time I'm finished. If you're traveling to Tours, be sure to check out the tab, "Gwan's Guide to Tours" for some insider's suggestions on what to see and do. From first hand experience, I can attest that it's the "Super Best Tour of Tours Ever"!
