  • Bang Rong Pier and Community 4 days ago The east coast of Phuket is very, very different to the west coast. All the main tourist areas and beaches are found on the west coast, while large parts of the east coast are almost untouched by tourism. Much of the coastline is mangrove forest, with large areas of rubber plantations in the hills,...
  • A Holiday in Krabi 2 weeks ago Phuket island is the biggest island in Thailand, this is true, and it's bigger than most people realise, but many of the tourist attractions, day trips and much of the beautiful scenery you see in brochures and online can actually be found outside of Phuket island/province in the nearby provinces...
  • Street Art in Phuket Town 2 months ago During 2016, art was appearing all over Phuket Town, and a few other spots around the island too. I am not quite sure if this is something organised or government approved, but it's happening and, in my opinion, adds something extra to the town although I'd not want to see the prettier streets in...
  • Songkran Photos 1 month ago The poopular Songkran festival is one of those "love it or hate it" events. It can be viewed as fun, but some people like to complain about it getting a bit silly and losing its traditional roots. Songkran is the Thai New Year festival and is celebrated in Thailand and also in neighbouring Laos,...
  • Kopitiam Restaurant in Old Phuket Town 1 month ago We first found Kopitiam in Old Phuket Town back in 2011 when it had just recently opened. This blog post was first written then, but updated 2017. I often enjoy a little walk in the old town with it's old buildings and interesting little shops. Thalang Road is the center of the old town, and over...

your post makes me think a good memory in Phuket again.Last month my husband and I visited Phuket island of Thailand. One of the places we really enjoyed was a Thai Cultural Theme Park - Phuket FantaSea. Every service area there was beautiful and neat. We enjoyed watching their beautiful, costumed parade culminating at an outdoor stage with a Bangok theme show. The place is really somewhat like Disneyland of Thailand! The highlight their main show held at a beautiful Palace of the Elephants Theater. I must say it was pretty amazing, I left overwhelmed by their beautiful culture. International buffet dinner was good, particularly the noodle soup. We remember it as one of our nicest outings in Phuket and do recommend it for a quality evening-into-the-night entertainment. Don't miss it!
