Accurate, useful information for international travelers who want more than the typical "tourist trap" destination guide. An insightful look into the true cultural side of various travel destinations and how to truly get the most out of a visit.

It is impossible to say anything negative about Mel or her blog. She's a sweetheart, writes extremely well, and is very observant. For those of us who hate to travel, she's a wonder.

We met Mel in Boca Grande this summer. She was volunteering for the Turtle Patrol, keeping those little turtles safe. What an interesting person, so glad we met. Look forward to reading her blog and following her travels.

Love Mel’s blog! I’m captivated by her experiences and can’t wait to read her next post. She’s more than a just tourist but becomes one with the culture daring to explore areas with the locals. Her adventures are profoundly entertaining and go well beyond the average tourist blog (or food review not that hers aren’t good too). By writing this blog, she’s introducing us to new cultures, new experiences, her fears and triumphs… giving us a glimpse into a new society as if we were right beside her. What a lovely gift allowing us to participate in this extraordinary life she’s living. Bravo Mel!
