Very interesting and informative. We are from USA and currently living in Costa Rica. Considering moving to Spain or Portugal in 2018 and looking for information about Southern areas of both countries

Love your blog. Would love to stay connected and talk some time in the future. I am a single gay man in San Francisco, considering retiring to southern coastal Spain when i retire (which is in the next two-three years, i hope). I want to start planning. One of the things i want to hear/learn about it the cost of living, the monthly cost of buying into the healthcare system, the price of a nice 3 bed 2 bath house, etc. The golden visa thing sounds good to me, although 500,000 euros is a lot, but i am happy to pay if gets me my dream retirement home. Hope to hear from you. Mark W.
