A British expat arrested in Spain in connection with the killing of a German man is wanted in the UK.

Thirty-year-old Ross Moore left his homeland in December last year and moved to the Costa del Sol resort town of La Cala de Mijas Mijas. However, it is now known that he fled after being convicted of assaulting his then girlfriend outside the home they shared in Devon.

Moore and another Brit, who has yet to be named, are being question over the killing of Ingo Dewitz, 46, who died after a bar fight in La Cala de Mijas. The German national reportedly died from blows to the head he sustained during the fight in the Captains Bar.

Witnesses said that Moore and the other suspect panicked and fled when they realized the seriousness of his injuries.

A source made it known to Spanish media that Moore fled Exmouth to get away from his past, and claimed that he was running away from himself. The source added that she was not surprised he had got himself in even more trouble.

Meanwhile, another source revealed that Moore had also been convicted of several other offences over the years, including assault in a bar fight in 2012.
Moore is currently in police custody in Alhaurin, while the other suspect has been released on bail.
