The famous ‘I am not a Tourist’ expat fair in Amsterdam is an annual event drawing thousands of international expats to network, find out more about the Netherlands and make new friends.

Held in the heart of Amsterdam at the Beurs van Berlage, the Expat Fair is now an established annual event attracting international expatriates from countless world countries. It’s free to enter and packed with booths representing Dutch companies, social clubs and entrepreneurial and volunteering opportunities. Every aspect of living in the Netherlands is on offer, helping new arrivals and giving new experiences for long-stayers.

The venue is divided into nine themed sections involving every aspect of expat life. Relocation, Setting up Home, Finance, Jobs for Expats, Healthcare, Housing, Transport, Families and Education are all represented, giving advice and opportunities to all who attend. On-site professional childcare is provided and there are workshop spaces as well as a great choice of food and plenty of cafes where expats can mingle, meet, greet and make new friends. In addition, the venue boasts an impressive main stage hosting entertainments as well as presentations.

This year’s theme concentrates on jobs for expats, especially those keen on an international career in the Netherlands as well as those wishing to continue their education beyond degree level or who are considering entrepreneurship. Experts will be on call to answer career-related questions. and networking with specialists in various industrial sectors is made easy, both for settled expats and the newly arrived.
