  • Phang Nga Bay Tour on a Rainy Day 1 day ago Low season weather in the Phuket area is rather unpredictable. If you're lucky you can get a week of sun and blue skies in the so-called rainy season, but if you are unlucky you can get a week with hardly any sun. The months from June to August 2017 were actually quite nice this year, but the...
  • Phuket Airport 1 month ago Back in 1999 when I arrived in Phuket, the airport was considerably smaller and quieter than it is now. Although Phuket was already a very popular tourist destination, and had been steadily growing since the 1980s, the airport had way less flights and way less arrivals and departures compared to...
  • Bookhemian Cafe in Old Phuket Town 1 month ago I was looking back at some older photos from the years 2002 - 2007. 16 years ago, old Phuket Town was certainly not ready for tourism. The old town streets looked rather dirty and there was really not much in the way of cafes and restaurants. I think things started to change about 2006, and there...
  • Watching a Movie in Phuket 1 month ago There are, of course, many better things to do in Phuket than watching a movie. You'd not take a holiday in Phuket and plan a visit to the cinema as one of your "must do" activities. But ... if you like movies and maybe there's a movie opening that you really want to watch while you happen to be on...
  • Klang Dong Restaurant at Wat Khao Waterfall 3 months ago Here's a good local restaurant to try if you are exploring off Phuket. We first found Wat Khao Waterfall towards the end of 2016. Located just outside the small town of Khok Kloi which is just 10km north of the bridges connecting Phuket to Phang Nga province. The waterfall is not big, but after...

your post makes me think a good memory in Phuket again.Last month my husband and I visited Phuket island of Thailand. One of the places we really enjoyed was a Thai Cultural Theme Park - Phuket FantaSea. Every service area there was beautiful and neat. We enjoyed watching their beautiful, costumed parade culminating at an outdoor stage with a Bangok theme show. The place is really somewhat like Disneyland of Thailand! The highlight their main show held at a beautiful Palace of the Elephants Theater. I must say it was pretty amazing, I left overwhelmed by their beautiful culture. International buffet dinner was good, particularly the noodle soup. We remember it as one of our nicest outings in Phuket and do recommend it for a quality evening-into-the-night entertainment. Don't miss it!
