Hi Dana, You are always 5 stars to me. I wanted to tell you that I was a victim of a snatch and grab on January 22nd. It was in the new ice cream shop on Benigno Malo (I think). The thugs were caught on a video camera in the store and the police have seen the video. I spent some time with the Cuenca police about this matter. I also have a photo from the video. I was in Cuenca trying to get my Residency Visa. But didn't have any money after the got my pocket book with cell phone, $400.00 (for the Residency Visa) and my debit card that I get my social security money. I live in Loja area now but will be in Cuenca the 7th to the 9th this week to spend some time with 3 friends from the United States. They are paying for me so I can stay with them. I was supposed to meet in Galapagos on the 3rd but I couldn't go. Anyway if you would like any more information or a picture of these guys feel free to get in touch. [email protected]
