  • Into the Northern Territories, Australia 4 weeks ago Although I live in big, busy cities at least once a year I need out. In April of this year I chose the Australian Northern Territories to scratch that itch. The Territories are much less popular than Sydney, Melbourne, or the center of the country. But they contain stunning scenery, an incredible...
  • What I've Learned After 3 Years as an Expat in Asia 2 months ago Surprise! I’m leaving Asia (for now) to move back to the US. I have big, messy, very mixed feelings about this move. Of course I’m glad to be closer to my family and oldest friends, but I’m also nearly certain I will want to live as an expat again. Soon. There’s a lot more to this story...
  • Sunset Beaches and Islands: El Nido, Palawan in the Philippines 2 months ago Hello again world! I’m getting the blog back on track. I’ve gone offline (uninentionally) for the last six months for many reasons. The biggest one is that I’ve had too much on my mind and too much happening offline. Something had to give. Hi friends! This is Kate from the Curly Wanderer. The lovely staff at the Expats Blog tell me that there are apparently votes and stars and other exciting emojis for blogs that are helpful and well-liked. Maybe you could share a few of those with me. Or you could just leave me comments on the blog and let me know what you like. I'm prepping both more travel related content and life as a single-woman expat which I hope you enjoy, but feedback is always welcome. My ESP is broken.
