I have loved reading about Julie, Jason and harrison's adventures throughout the year. What a wonderful experience they have had and their blog has painted such an entertaining and informative story for their family and friends to share in. If only we were all so lucky to have experienced what they have as a family, and their blog will keep these memories alive for many many years to come!! Xxxx

A great blog with very informative details of life in Manado and surrounding areas. A wonderful experience for Harrison to observe and take part in other cultures and school life. Also a wonderful experience for us to have photos and descriptions of life in Manado. Very well done.

You have given us a fantastic insight of what it has been like living in Manado. I am sure some of it has been frustrating but we can get that where ever we are living. You all seem to have had lots of fun too... those resorts sound very inviting...the food presentation was eye catching and I am sure delicious! You all have had a great experience, especially Harrison. It is fortunate that he is old enough to remember his time there experiencing a very different culture. Jason and Julie you should be congratulated on your writing about your twelve months living in Indonesia. Very enjoyable reading.

This is one of my favourite travel blogs. Every time I read about your adventures in Manado & see the excellent pictures, I have to fight to not rush out and buy some flights to a far-flung island paradise. :)

Julie and Jason's post was a window into a world that we would never otherwise get to see. It was really interesting to learn more about Manado and their lifestyle. Also fun to read posts from both Julie and Jason - very well written!

Congrats Julie, Jason and Harrison for being nominated for the Best Blog Awards 2012! I have no doubt about your adventure in my lovely town Manado surrounded by beautiful islands that captivate people who ever visit and live here. I've been surfing on the internet when i found the blog. And I was kind of "wow-ing" after i saw Julie's picture. This is the woman i saw at school. i was sitting next to her, whilst waiting for my daughter off of school. and now i know, why i never see her again at school. the nice looking blond lady. Like to know what expats see about my town. and all the writing is so TRUE about Mantos, the kids birthday and the lifestyle of manadonesse generally. i can tell that your family had a great times in Manado.
