Chile will soon be the easiest expat destination in which to start a business, due to new laws being passed to encourage incoming entrepreneurs and business people.

At the present time, forming a Chilean company takes only a few weeks and costs around $600 on a do-it-yourself basis. The new law simplifies the procedure still more, and will result in companies able to be formed online in just one day, at no charge.

Chile’s economy is expanding fast, due to the work ethic of its people rather than by central banker casino tricks, and productivity is at an all-time high. More is being made, more is being exported and more Chileans than ever before have money to spend and savings to invest.

The mobile middle classes are stimulating the retail market, and foreign workers are easy to hire for expats starting a business as work permits are straightforward to arrange. Having a Chilean company also entitles expats to residency, a serious advantage resulting in a feeling of security for immigrants, and the country is also considered as a lower-tax destination with a corporate rate of just 20 per cent.

The new law is expected to come into force by the end of May this year and, for potential expat entrepreneurs looking to avoid the Eurocrisis and get on with life, Chile would seen to be a win-win destination. The country’s tech industry, construction and agriculture are ripe for the taking, and the retail market is booming.
