Customer service better in Britain than Asia

As reported by Gulf News, many British expats say that customer service in the UAE are not as good as in the UK while many expats from developing countries are more satisfied, reveals a new customer service report.

About 86% of British respondents said that UAE customer service was worse than in Britain, according to Capita, the UK-based professional services firm that recently launched in Dubai.

However, 81% of Pakistani respondents, 64.6% of Indians and 47.3% of Filipinos said that UAE customer service was better than in their home countries, said the study which focused on federal services and the financial sector. About 60% of respondents felt that the UAE’s customer service was superior to their home countries’.

The financial service industry has a few years ahead of it before being able to catch up with the customer service levels of the developed world, claims Harry Hanscomb, who is general manager of the region’s Capita branch.
