  • Eating Hop Shoots 20 hours ago Have you tried eating hop shoots before?  Maybe you should!  It turns out that hop shoots are the most expensive vegetable in the world– and I have them growing wild in my back yard!  To tell the truth, the wild hops in my yard are a real nuisance– they grow all over the shrubs back...
  • A Visit to Bradford on Avon- an Utterly Charming Town 1 day ago On the way home from our recent trip to Bath, we paid a visit to Bradford on Avon.  It’s such a charming town!  We weren’t there for much time at all, and it was cold and windy– but we stayed long enough to take a little walk and for me to snap some photos to […]The post A Visit to...
  • Tahini Molasses Cookies (Grain-Free) 2 days ago Ever since we discovered this recipe for tahini cookies, we have been making and loving our own version of them almost every week.  I like them so much that I just have to share them with you.  The list of ingredients is so short, and (if I ask him nicely) Jeff can whip up a […]The post Tahini...

This has been a fun adventure to follow. As an former-expat (to many different countries) I find the insights she shares to be particularly poignant. She really has done so much to make the most of her time overseas. Love the pictures, and the stories are easy to resonate with.

Ariana captures life abroad through the lens of her own unique passions in life. Having grown up cross-culturally, she brings a unique voice to the expat experience; one that keeps me coming back time and time again, just to see what amazing adventures she will share next. Great photos and honest writing combine to make a blog that is like no other.
